2009 Projects
May 23-30
- Sheet Rock ceiling and install exit lighting in Remembrance building. Project is installing 2 layers of sheet rock on 12’ high ceiling of 32 x 64 building (128 sheets). Lift and scaffold will be available. Install 5 LED exit and 2 stairway lights. Building is not heated. Estimated Cost $3,500.
Project is critical to meet the fire marshals approval to utilize group sleeping quarters on second level.
May 30-June 6
- Remodel staff housing. Project is remove and reinstall 2 existing windows, Install 2 windows, Install 2 doors, build and finish 2 10’ interior walls and minor electrical work. Estimated Cost $1,000.
Project is not critical; however, it would greatly improve our staff housing. Project will only be started if funds are donated to cover cost.
May 23 – Summer
- Construction of 28 x 32 restroom facility. Estimated Cost $30,000.
Project will only be started if funds are donated and split of donated land is finalized. Expectation would be starting the construction on June 1 with completion by August 7. However, if a church or organization wishes to take on the entire project it could be completed for our first scheduled group coming in June 13th.
Medium Priority nice to have completed by June 13
June 6-June 13 or anytime during summer
- Construct 20 x 40 Shelter for our dining area. Estimated Cost $3,600.
Project will only be started if funds are donated. Currently we use 4 canvas canopies which we can do again in 2009.
- Upgrade our site electrical. Installations of new entrance panel to better service our site. Estimated Cost $1,000.
- Upgrade our trailer campground. Install tank for sewage disposal, water and electric. Estimated Cost $2,500.
- Construct 8 x 64 addition to the Remembrance Building. When the 32 x 64 Remembrance Building was constructed the plans and foundation included 8 x 64 lean-to on the north and south side. Our existing vehicle storage area is not large enough to allow us to store all our vehicles inside. This addition would provide for that as well as some protection for our groups during inclement weather. Estimated Cost $2,300.

Eaglecrest Policy regarding people going on any mission work project is: Each Individual is expected to pay their own way to and from any mission field project, Room and Board, Plus any extra expense Incurred at each mission station for Transportation. Each group is encouraged to raise funding to cover cost of project. If you have any Questions regarding this policy please contact Roger Smith rog@alaskamissions.org
If an individual or team wishes to stay for two or more weeks that is perfectly fine.
